My client is looking for a Business Analyst who is exceptional in liaising with technical teams to understand the impact of a potential change on the current systems and processes.

What will you be doing?

Working with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders (will vary depending on the project, but likely to include Operations, Marketing and/or Retail Distribution representatives), Transformation, Technology, Risk and Audit, you will be adept at understanding and documenting requirements and then working to understand the technical impact of any new projects.

  • Converting business, technical and non-functional requirements into design options
  • Engaging with the stakeholders and relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, analyse, and produce high level options for solution design which align with strategies and principles.
  • Analysing and documenting current integrations, workflows, and information exchanges, challenging the stakeholders/SMEs where necessary and confirming assumptions, to seek opportunity to improve processes, to ensure maximum benefits and customer experience can be realised.
  • Producing options analysis with a considered recommendation to the business
  • Evaluating and documenting the options available, including consideration of the risks, impacts, issues, and costs associated with each to allow the business to make an informed decision.
  • Identifying and documenting the current and future states of the business processes as a result of the change taking into account the project requirements and the strategic long terms goals.
  • Working with Project Managers to identify and understand all risks and issues arising during the project. If applicable manage the resulting controls and actions required to achieve satisfactory resolution.
  • Developing effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including third party management where appropriate.
  • Working with the other team members to define standard templates for the Project Life Cycle documentation.
  • Working with the Architectural function and design authorities to ensure any options fit with strategic direction of the business.

What Skills and Experience Should you have?

3 years’ experience in a similar role. A Business Analysis qualification would be nice, however proven experience is just as valuable.

You should be able to demonstrate experience (not just the theory) of doing the following;

  • The ability to interpret business requirements and work with the technical team to understand how the solution can deliver against the requirements.
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Structured and logical approach to problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Natural curiosity and confidence to challenge existing practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • The ability to identify and effectively manage risks and issues.
  • Testing including end to end integration.
  • Resilience and the ability to work effectively under challenge.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office Suite (inc. MS Word, Excel, PPoint and Visio).

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join my client’s team to install and support a wide range of servers and networks from small to medium-sized businesses and Schools and Academies in Cumbria. They are an established MSP with a strong book of business in the Northwest of England.

What will you be doing?

You will be working at various customer sites with main duties that include updating and improving existing systems to ensure they are used in the most efficient way. Installing and supporting a wide range of servers and networks and to keep them updated with bug fixes and security updates.

In addition to the above you will also be responsible for aiding the team of remote support officers (RSO’s) in fault rectification via remote services as and when required.

What experience and skills are required?

Being on client sites you need to be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills. On top of these skills, you will need a solid technical background.

  • 2-5 years’ experience of working within an IT role.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Operating System deployment and support (Windows 10+, Windows Server 2016+)
  • Virtualisation with Hyper-V
  • Active Directory (including Azure AD)
  • Microsoft 365 administration and configuration
